Florida ChapterOur Tampa, FL chapter is run by Racing4Vets Vice President and Co-Founder John Vann, U.S. Army Ssg. (retired).

The Tampa chapter serves service-disabled veterans in Florida with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and physical injuries. The programs focus on motorsports business training, vehicle fabrication, high performance driving and auto racing.

Automotive Program

Racing4Vets-Porsche-Sebring-Oct14-16Automotive opportunities at our Tampa chapter for service-disabled Veterans include:

  • Race vehicle fabrication and maintenance
  • Motorsports business training, including crew chief, pit crew, transportation, event promotion, graphic design and public relations
  • Camaraderie and team building exercises for service-disabled veterans
  • Driver training with professional driving instructors on closed courses

Performance driving and auto racing events are held with the ChumpCar World Challenge, National Auto Sport Association (NASA) and Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) at closed courses in Florida and Southeast locations.

The program is open to service-disabled veterans who show a high level of commitment and meet required medical and safety requirements.
