Racing4Vets and NASCAR® drivers have teamed up to support service-disabled veterans in a one-of-a-kind kart racing event. The First Annual Racing4Vets Veteran Kart Challenge will be held at GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, NC on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 5:00 to 10:15 PM. The race is a two hour team relay format with race fans personally racing on the same kart teams as NASCAR® drivers.
This one-of-a-kind event will feature 20 top NASCAR® Sprint Cup, Nationwide, Camping World Truck, K&N Pro Series and Whelen Modified Tour drivers, along with prominent motorsports journalists racing high performance go karts with fans and service-disabled veterans.

Timing of the Racing4Vets Veteran Kart Challenge puts it directly between the NASCAR All-Star Race on May 17 and the Coca-Cola 600 on May 25 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. These two races generate a huge concentration of NASCAR fans and motorsports media in a single location, ensuring excellent fan attendance and media coverage.
The race will be broadly publicized across multiple online, social media, radio, PR and print channels, reaching over 5 million consumers. An additional 2,500 race fans will visit the track for a chance to race karts with their favorite NASCAR® driver.
